Engaging Customers : Case Studies

Restructuring one of the largest UK Sales Forces

Increased competitive threat made it essential for this client to restructure and realign their sales force of over 300 people to deliver more of what their customers wanted.  We worked initially with our client to define the new senior roles and define the behaviours for success.  We then designed and implemented assessment processes to provide robust evidence on individual’s suitability for placement in the new sales organisation.  The whole project was completed in less than 6 months.

Senior management told us that the overall quality of the sales force has increased as a result of this work.  Many of the individuals who were not placed in the new organisation commented that the process was fair and transparent.

Focussing on what customers really want from an international engineering company

We are working with a team of 400+ engineers delivering one of the largest UK infrastructure projects.  Part of this assignment involved undertaking an in depth qualitative survey of client expectations and perceptions of their ways of working.   We provided a considerable number of verbatim quotes about the views of clients and interpreted these to identify specific opportunities where the organisation can  make changes to improve it’s performance for this major client.

An independent quality Assessor rated our customer survey as ‘best in class’ and one of the best examples of this type of work he had ever seen.  The client is now undertaking a series of actions to address the issues identified by the survey.

Supporting a Government Service to align to multiple stakeholders

Following the merger of five separate organisations into one integrated business, we worked with senior leaders and the executive team to support them align their activities to fulfil the complex demands of multiple stakeholders.  The project involved defining new job roles, assessing individuals for appointment, team building and leadership development to support the achievement of significantly increased  targets.

The organisation exceeded many of it’s targets and is now taking on additional contracts beyond those originally anticipated.
